You will focus on the cardiology department, cardiac intensive care unit, and nephrology outpatient clinic. A combined workload of inpatient and outpatient work. You will work closely with occupational therapists and the staff on the ward to care for heart patients with various diagnoses and needs. You will provide early and professional care through functional assessments and rehabilitative interventions.

As a physiotherapist, you will initiate interventions aimed at facilitating the return home for continued training or adaptation.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may occur, approximately 4 weekends per year.

The position is a temporary contract for about one year, with a possibility of extension.

About you

You are a licensed physiotherapist. Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish is a requirement. You find it easy to collaborate with different professions and have a good ability to prioritize your work. We also welcome you who are new to the profession and will adapt the introduction to your needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your future workplace

Occupational therapy and physiotherapy is part of Rehab Söder. The unit employs about 23 physiotherapists, 14 occupational therapists, 2 rehab assistants, and 1 administrator. We work both in inpatient and outpatient care. The work as a physiotherapist is independent but also involves close collaboration with other professionals within the unit and staff at clinics/wards.

Rehab Söder has the mission to offer citizens in southern Kalmar County rehabilitative interventions at both specialist and primary care levels. The unit is also responsible for the region's dietitian services in the southern part of the county and for the social worker services at Kalmar County Hospital. Interventions should be provided in collaboration with other healthcare providers and the patient's social network when necessary. The goal is for our interventions to lead to maintained or improved health.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
